Why We Exist

Mental illness is one of Canada's leading public health issues. One in five Canadians experiences some form of mental illness, and one in eight requires some professional care as a result. It often strikes young adults before they have the opportunity to finish their education. This can lead to stigma, challenges finding and keeping employment, poverty, homelessness and a lifelong dependence on community services.

Helping persons with disabilities develop skills and become employed makes a significant difference in their lives and our community.
