Affirmative Industries is pleased to offer a free 12 week program to people on Canada Pension Plan Disability that consists of personal development workshops and the chance to explore work experience.

Personal Development Workshops

The program consists of 1-2 workshops a week for 2 hours each. They include a variety of topics related to employment, life skills, and personal skills. We often tailor the topics to meet the needs of our clients.

Work Experience

This program also offers you the chance to rediscover the world of work. Affirmative Industries owns and operates three local businesses — Petstuff on the Go, The Neighbourhood Dollar Plus Store and Mort’s Convenience. These businesses are used as a tool to identify your interests and abilities, to create employment plans, and provide you with a chance to develop a comprehensive range of skills.

Training Wage: $150 a month
